Well, I know most of the readers of this blog do- most of them use DonorPerfect Online- but for those that don’t, here’s an interesting statistic:

The AFP Fundraising Effectiveness Project (which DonorPerfect sponsors) will release their preliminary indications for fundraising effectiveness from 2004-2005. In that report, it will be stated that from 2004-2005:

• Gains in new donors increased 22%
• Gains in net revenue raised increased 23%

These increases occurred over all respondents, regardless of the type of audience they serve. They also had one thing in common- they all use professional fundraising software.

What’s your growth rate? You can always find out by running the Comprehensive Revenue Analysis from your DonorPerfect Online system from Reports, Financial Reports.

For the last several months, we’ve been very involved with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) to help kick of the Fundraising Effectiveness Project (FEP). Here’s a link to the FEP announcement.

I’ve been personally representing DonorPerfect because I feel very strongly that this project will have a major impact for non profit organizations and increase giving substantially over the next several years.

I feel this way because, for the first time, non profit organizations will be able to compare their fundraising effectiveness against other similar organizations and change their fundraising practices to raise more money.
