Maidstone Museum hosts the largest and most significant collection in Kent, and they’ve just developed an ambitious £4 million programme to create 30% more exhibition space, expand education services and improve conservation facilities.
This is the first time that the museum has launched an appeal, and they have had to create a completely new fundraising infrastructure from a zero base. Nicholas Ward of Maidstone Museum, said “DonorPerfect provides an accessible, easy to operate database that will expand in line with our needs – especially in managing the development of essential relationships with influential supporters. Equally important, this flexible system has allowed us to streamline administration, reduce costs and improve our services to volunteers and Friends of the Museum. In particular, we can now redirect our energy more effectively into developing contacts with supporters.”
“In fact, we have only been using the system for the last three months and the user support service has therefore been invaluable in getting us fully operational with the minimum of delay. It’s also proving easy to train colleagues and we’ve already seen important benefits in making summary reports available on demand to colleagues across the wider organisation. As the museum’s development and fundraising consultant I would be happy to recommend DonorPerfect.”
