Watch Our Free Expert Webcast: Intentional Fundraising

Setting an Intentional Fundraising Practice

Janet Levine returned to our series of Expert Webcasts with her latest webinar, “Intentional Fundraising: Getting Where You Want to Go.” Intentional fundraising involves having a plan of where you want to go, determining the steps needed to get to the destination, and being clear about what you hope to achieve. Intentional fundraising requires a strategy that evolves and responds to changes in expected outcomes.

If you were able to attend the live webinar, I hope you enjoyed it! In case you missed it, you can watch the live recording below. Be sure to follow along using the slides from the presentation.

Build your Intentional Fundraising Toolkit

Janet recommends having three tools in the Intentional Fundraising toolkit:

  1. Cultivation Plan – Whether it applies to a group or individual donors, plan the timing, action and person responsible for each action at your organization.
  2. Meeting Planner* – Using a form to prepare you for each interaction with your constituent helps you organize resources required for the interaction. The form also serves as a document of your objectives.
  3. Call Report* – Results of the interaction are entered on this form. New information gained from the prospect or donor is entered here. Giving interests and communication preferences should be identified.

* The Contact screen of DonorPerfect can be used to track data for these two reports.
