Using smart give you can smart give links connect donors to your forms prefilled with their name, address, email, and phone number. Donors save time and can focus on making their donation which they’ll also be more likely to complete. The best way to use smart gift links is in emails, such as those sent through constant contact. To get started, go to mailings, constant contact email, then click Settings, custom fields mapping, choose select Web Link form smart gift link. Then pick the form you want to be used in your smart gift links. Leave the format as Link and take note of the field number. In Constant Contact, insert the field number into your email and the smart gift link will appear. To send smart give links to donors who prefer letters First, go to Settings parameters, mailings, mail, merge, email, check off smart gift link and save. Log out and back in. Next, go to mailings, mail merge, look under more options, check include smart give link and select a form to link to. Your mail merge file will include a personalized link for each letter recipient and a code that is unique to each person, recipients can use the link or go to smart gift.com and enter the code to reach the form. Investing a small amount of time to set up smart gift links streamlines the donation process donors will be more likely to respond to your message and in turn commit to the entire giving process.
